Claudia has been working with couples, individuals, families, and children since 2016. She creates a warm atmosphere, ensuring clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, fears, and aspirations. Claudia frequently collaborates with clients, tailoring therapy approaches to suit individual needs, to foster personal growth and resilience. She works with individuals/families going through life transitions, assisting her clients in navigating these changes by providing guidance, emotional support, and practical tools to adapt successfully. In conjunction with this work, she conducts group therapy sessions for children and teens, which focus on the development and building of social skills, as well as on behavioral management.
Claudia provides therapeutic guidance, as well as coaching for behavioral cases for children with behavioral disorders. Claudia is also passionate about providing support and guidance to prenatal mothers. With an interest in maternal mental health, she is committed to helping expectant mothers navigate the emotional and psychological challenges that can arise before, during, and after pregnancy. She additionally works with issues relating to sex. Her other areas of focus include grief, anxiety, and depression.
Claudia is able to provide faith based therapy for those who are seeking guidance from a Christian counseling perspective, through the utilization of psychological principles in conjunction with faith based values. She provides therapy fluently in both English and Spanish.
Claudia earned her B.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Universidad Ibero Americana (UNIBE), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 2014. Claudia moved to South Florida in 2015, and went on to earn her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2017. Claudia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida, and is an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Clinical Fellow.
