Dalia specializes in working with children and teens with: at risk behavior, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and similar diagnoses/disorders. She has 10 years of experience working with children and their families in different environments, having spent four years in the school system providing behavioral coaching, as well as teaching Social Emotional Learning to lower and middle school students. In addition, Dalia has experience leading social-emotional groups for children of all ages, which focus on understanding and managing emotions, setting and achieving positive goals, feeling and showing empathy for others, establishing and maintaining positive relationships, as well as making responsible decisions. One of her greatest passions is helping others to reach their full potential, and find a state of equilibrium in the relationship(s) with themselves and others. Additionally, she is a certified Biodecoding Coach, having completed a 150-hour Level 1 online training in 2022. Biodecoding is an innovative, complementary approach to therapy that focuses on resolving the emotional and ancestral root cause of illness. Using a signature methodology, it taps into the cellular unconscious to access past traumas, helping to make changes in the structure in order to heal. Dalia provides therapy fluently in both English and Spanish.
Dalia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Florida International University, as well as her Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida. Dalia is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and a member of Delta Kappa Omicron, the international Marriage and Family Therapy Honor’s Society.
